Eligibility Criteria for Vanier CGS 2026

- Be nominated by one Canadian university only
- Be pursuing their first doctoral degree
- Have achieved first-class academic standing
- Meet doctoral study time limits set by the Vanier program
- Demonstrate strong academic excellence, leadership, and research potential
- Not hold or have held another Canadian federal doctoral scholarship
